As the Fed has raised rates, the interest paid on sweep money market funds has gone from next to nothing a year ago and to just under a half-percent per year right now. That’s a big move. But it’s nothing compared to the dramatic and relatively sudden increase in the rates on tradable money markets, which are now well above 4.0%.
